Overview
Applore is an Android app that GTS Infosoft LLP designs, builds and maintains in-house. It checks a phone's installed apps against a reviewed list of known stalkerware and hidden monitoring apps. The check runs on the phone, and the safety tools are free and ad-free. Applore also locks private apps with a PIN or fingerprint, keeps passwords in a vault, and handles everyday jobs such as removing several apps at once and finding duplicate files.
The Challenge
Stalkerware and hidden monitoring apps are built to stay out of sight, and the people most at risk often can't tell whether someone else has set up their phone. Applore had to make that check simple enough for anyone to run, without sending their app list off the phone and without ads in the way.
What GTS Built
GTS Infosoft LLP built Applore in Kotlin and Java on Firebase and maintains it in-house. The Suspicious App Checker compares installed apps against a reviewed list of known stalkerware and hidden monitoring apps, on the phone, and explains each result. Around it sit App Lock, a Password Vault and everyday app and file tools. Applore has 100,000+ installs on Google Play, is available in 21 languages, and runs on Android 8.0 and up. It comes in two versions: Applore Free and Applore Pro, which has no ads.
