Overview
Food Truck Fans is a dual-sided marketplace matching hungry users with mobile food vendors in real time. Location tracking, menu discovery, event booking, vendor-driven promotions — it runs across major U.S. cities and pays off for food lovers and truck owners both.
The Challenge
Food trucks move. That's the whole problem — fans couldn't find them, and vendors couldn't reliably pull foot traffic or make money off their following. Users wanted live menus, alerts, and a way to book trucks for events. And it all had to stay accurate, with low latency, even where connectivity gets patchy.
What GTS Built
GTS built a cross-platform Flutter app on Firebase, wiring in both Google Maps and Apple Maps for live truck locations. Real-time location sharing and instant menu updates sit next to subscription-based event requests, push ad campaigns, and an analytics dashboard for vendors. Offline mode keeps both sides working when the signal drops.
