IoT livestock tracking and geofencing for working farms
Overview
Trackology NordSense is an IoT livestock tracking and farm-management platform built around GPS-enabled NordSense devices and AWS cloud infrastructure. Farmers and ranchers track their animals in real time, monitor health indicators, set up geofences and receive intelligent alerts — all through mobile and web apps.
The Challenge
Livestock wander across huge, remote areas where connectivity comes and goes. The platform had to take in data from GPS devices without dropping any of it, put that data on live maps, and tell ranchers immediately when an animal crossed a boundary or showed signs of distress.
What GTS Built
GTS delivered the full IoT stack. GPS devices talk over MQTT to an AWS backend; real-time GPS tracking, geofencing, historical playback and movement analytics surface through a device-management dashboard and interactive maps. It works the same on mobile and web.
